My GO-TO Healthy Nighttime Sweet Tooth FIX
1 Tablespoon Sugar-Free Vanilla Jello Pudding Mix
Being a student-athlete with constant nighttime sweet cravings, I needed the perfect treat that would be quick, easy, with limited cleanup, and leave me feeling satisfied. This does just the trick. Sometimes I’ll even make a double batch and store my leftovers in the freezer to enjoy another time!
A dessert is supposed to taste GOOD and be sweet and satisfying. So, I recommend everyone gives this a shot whether you’re trying to be healthy, craving something sweet, or just a chocolate lover. I would consider myself all of the above!
This recipe is perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth. Despite being healthy and protein with no added sugar, it does not lack in flavor whatsoever. And I mean DOES NOT lack in flavor.
Let me tell you, I am NOT a fan of “healthy recipes” that do not taste good and are nowhere near comparable to the real thing, because what’s even the point of eating it then?
The best part is, it is super easy, NO BAKING involved, or waiting time to freeze. Make and serve to eat right away! That’s why it’s the best sweet tooth fix when you literally can’t wait nor have the time to make an extravagant satisfying dessert. Save yourself some money and time by not ordering an expensive nor nearly nutrient-dense dessert.
Instead, try this!
RECIPE;
-CREAMY PROTEIN-RICH CHOCOLATE PUDDING DESSERT-
Prep Time: 5 Mins
Ingredients:
1 Cup of Water or Almond Milk/Milk of choice
½ Scoop Chocolate Protein Powder
1 Tablespoon 0% Fat Greek Yogurt
1 Teaspoon Cocoa Powder
(Optional) Add Spinach for extra nutrients, you WON’T TASTE it
4-5 Ice Cubes
Topping Ideas (Completely plain is yummy too):
Honey
Maple Syrup
Dark Chocolate Chips
Berries (Here I did frozen raspberries)
Banana
Directions:
1. In a blender add your liquid first (water or almond milk). This is a crucial step in making the blending process much easier because the rest of your ingredients won’t stick to the bottom and never get blended into the mixture.
2. Next, add the Protein Powder, Greek yogurt, Cocoa Powder, Pudding Mix, and optional Spinach and blend at high speed until completely incorporated.
3. Finally, you’ll notice it seems a bit more liquid than desired, well now it’s time to thicken it up by adding the Ice Cubes last.
Adding the ice cubes last helps the main ingredients blend more smoothly all together. Blend the ice cubes on high or pulsing until incorporated and texture is smooth and creamy.
4. Pour into a bowl and add toppings if desired. This time I just added raspberries, because the true chocolaty taste is just so good on its own.
If you can’t finish it all or you want to make extra, just freeze it and enjoy another day!
